Many thanks to...

Mary (wife), Victoria & Hannah (daughters) who have given me lots of support and encouragement right from the beginning of this venture. Hannah is my soul mate as she really appreciates the sound of a V8 engine.

Tony and Penny from Pilgrim have been really helpful throughout – I send Penny more e-mails with dumb questions than anyone else. Without their help, such a project would be beyond the bounds of the ordinary DIY mechanic such as me – they just make is possible for anyone with the right aptitude and basic mechanical knowledge to see it through. Penny has now left Pilgrim to pursue family based activities (babies) but has been replaced by Tony's son, Robin, who is equally as helpful.

Richard and Chris from Richard Pipe Engineering (Martlesham, Suffolk) – I’ve known Richard for many years (met in the MG Owners’ Club) and he is a first rate mechanical engineer – he’s serviced / repaired our cars ever since and is always willing to help. His help so far has been invaluable, particularly the use of his 15 tonne press and extending my mechanical knowledge beyond the “try hitting it with a hammer”.

Andy Soar is the East Anglia Rep of the Cobra Replica Club and also runs his own garage in Bressingham, Norfolk, where there is always several ACs being worked on. Andy made up the new exhausts and changed the engine for the new 3.9ltr V8 beast, with help from Michael Peachey.

Adastral Park Auto Maintenance Club - an excellent place to borrow a variety of tools and seek advice. Sorry, but you have to work at Adastral Park, Martlesham, to be a member.

The V8 Owners Forum, UK Cobra Club and Sierra Owners Club discussion board – very useful when trying to work out how bits fit together. A mind of information from people who know what they are talking about 'cos they have been there.

Finally, to Simon (SVA, Norwich) and Peter (DVLA, Ipswich). I had read many horror stories on the forums of 'Jobsworths' from both of these organisations around the country who have made the kit car builders lives a living hell. I am pleased that I live in Suffolk so took the car to Norwich for SVA to be tested by Simon who was friendly and fair throughout. Also, having the car inspected by Peter at the Ipswich DVLA office who could not have been more helpful and pleasant.
